The flagship beer of Turkey’s not-particularly-romantically-named
Efes Beverage Group, this was another bottle I imbibed on Monday night. Anybody
that has ever been to Turkey will no doubt have sunk one or two of these, the
company has a remarkable 80%+ market share. In my former London neighbourhood Harringay
Green Lanes the beer was equally ubiquitous, sold in every Turkish restaurant
and supermarket (of which there are many). It’s another good, easy-drinking
pilsener, perfect for the hot summer weather whether you’re in Turkey or not.
